আসন্ন ২০২৬-২৭ অর্থবছরের বাজেটে তামাক কর কাঠামো সংস্কারের মাধ্যমে সিগারেটের সর্বনিম্ন মূল্য ১০০ টাকা নির্ধারণের দাবি উঠেছে। এছাড়া সব স্তরের সিগারেটে প্রতি প্যাকেটে চার টাকা সুনির্দিষ্ট কর আরোপের প্রস্তাব দেওয়া হয়েছে। এর মূল লক্ষ্য ধূমপানে নিরুৎসাহিত করা ও জনস্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা।

JNHFB is the official peer-reviewed journal of the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh. This journal publishes cutting-edge articles on clinical, basic science, and epidemiological studies in cardiology, cardiac surgery, and other heart health topics, including prevention, rehabilitation, and health promotion.
Targeting a wide audience — including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, specialist physicians, public health experts, and general physicians — it is published in English three times a year (January, May, and September).
